224 is a high strength gap filling solder, suitable for joining rigid metal components. It has a melting temperature of 183-224 Deg C. It can be worked to form reasonable fillets, adding strength to cross members in chassis construction.
Used in the normal way it is ideal for general purpose use where a high strength joint is required and is particularly suitable as the higher melting temperature solder, when step solder construction is used.
It should be used with the appropriate Carr’s Fluxes for the metals being joined.
